Cirrus Aircraft’s Dale Klapmeier and Pat Waddick Accept ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and Donate to Breast Cancer Research

Our very own Ivy McIver, Regional Sales Director for the Pacific Northwest, recently challenged Dale and I to participate in the ALS Association’s Ice Bucket Challenge. We accepted the challenge on September 17 at our company meeting in Duluth, MN and it was REFRESHING!

We each made donations in support of awareness and fighting the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis disease that affects as many as 30,000 Americans each year. We encourage others in the Cirrus community, owners, operators and partners to also consider a donation at: http://www.alsa.org/fight-als/ice-bucket-challenge.html.

Promoting this effort, Dale and I challenge Andy Niemyer, President of the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association and Michael Goulian, aerobatic and Red Bull Air Race pilot and Principal of Executive Flyers Aviation. Gentlemen, thank you in advance for accepting this mission … and enjoy!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In recognition of successful battles against breast cancer by several among the Cirrus family, we have made a donation to support efforts to increase awareness. Although many people are aware of breast cancer, it is so important that more people know about the many resources available to detect the disease at early stages and the importance of encouraging others to do the same. We urge others in the Cirrus and General Aviation Community to do their part in raising awareness and considering a donation to this important effort and fight!

Have fun, keep learning and share your passion. Fly safely!
