Dr Michael Clements of Fairfield Central Medical Practice, has been using his 2004 SR22 VH-WJB for two years to fly himself, other doctors and medical crew to the remote towns at the base of the Gulf of Carpentaria. Dr Clements owns two medical practices in Townsville and has been visiting Karumba, Normanton, Burketown, Doomadgee, Mornington Island, Gregory Downs and Julia Creek regularly providing a mix of general practice, specialist and allied health services. At one stage he had an interest in working for the RFDS, but as they prefer to keep their doctors in the back of the plane, he decided he needed to purchase his own Cirrus and do it himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
