(20 February 2019) \u2013 Cirrus Aircraft announced today that new\ncustomer aircraft deliveries for the company\u2019s best-selling SR Series showed\nsteady growth and reached 380 aircraft in 2018, an increase of seven percent over\n2017. The company also announced acceleration of production and delivery of the\nVision Jet<sup>TM<\/sup> \u2013 the world\u2019s first single-engine Personal Jet<sup>TM<\/sup> \u2013 with\n63 aircraft delivered, resulting in nearly 100 Vision Jets currently in service\naround the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur annual performance at\nCirrus Aircraft demonstrates our long-term commitment to continued core growth,\nour disciplined approach to maturing our turbine product line, the expansion of\nCirrus Services and another year that validates our customer-focused enterprise\nstrategy,\u201d said Todd Simmons, President, Customer Experience at Cirrus\nAircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These annual results mark the\nfifth consecutive year that Cirrus Aircraft has delivered more than 300 SR\nSeries aircraft. Additionally, the current trajectory of Vision Jet deliveries\nis setting the pace to make the Collier Award winning single-engine Personal Jet\none of the best-selling turbine aircraft under $6 million USD. Enterprise\ngrowth also propelled continued facilities expansion and employee growth across\nall Cirrus locations including Duluth, Minnesota, Grand Forks, North Dakota and\nKnoxville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simmons continued, \u201cWith this\nexceptional performance by the Cirrus Aircraft team, we are well positioned for\ncontinued success in both existing and emerging global aviation markets. On\nbehalf of all Cirrus owners and operators around the world, these 2018 results\nagain highlight our commitment to reimagining the future of personal aviation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The SR Series Continues to Soar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cirrus Aircraft\u2019s first\nhigh-performance SR Series airplane \u2013 the SR20 \u2013 was delivered in 1999 and\ntransformed general aviation with intuitive avionics, game-changing performance\nand revolutionary safety systems, including the Cirrus Airframe Parachute\nSystem\u00ae (CAPS\u00ae). Today\u2019s SR Series portfolio includes the SR20, SR22 and the\nturbocharged SR22T. Last year, the company celebrated the milestone of the\ndelivery of its 7,000th SR Series aircraft and over 10.5 million flight hours\nin 60 countries around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, the company will\ncelebrate 20 years of the SR Series entering the high-performance single-engine\npiston market. Now in its sixth generation, the SR Series has been the\nbest-selling general aviation piston aircraft in its class for seventeen\nconsecutive years. The G6 SR Series launched in 2017 with the Cirrus\nPerspective+<sup>TM<\/sup> by Garmin\u00ae flight deck, which includes expanded\navionics and flight planning options, luxury automobile-inspired Cirrus Spectra<sup>TM<\/sup>\nwingtip lighting, cockpit connectivity solutions and premium interior options. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this year, Cirrus\nAircraft announced the addition of the Arriv\u00e9e Special Edition SR Series\ninspired by \u201cThe Art of Arriving\u201d. This unique aircraft expands on the luxury\nautomobile inspired details that define a Cirrus aircraft interior with artisan\nhandcrafted finishes and customization typically only available through the\ncompany\u2019s unique Xi Design Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A New Generation of the Vision Jet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2016, Cirrus Aircraft\nushered in a new era in personal transportation with the FAA certification of\nthe world\u2019s first single-engine Personal Jet \u2013 the Vision Jet. The turbine\naircraft defined a new category in aviation \u2013 the Personal Jet \u2013 with its\nspacious pilot and passenger-friendly cabin featuring panoramic windows,\nreclining seats, comfortable legroom for five adults and two children and the\nonly turbine aircraft with a whole airframe parachute system as standard\nequipment. 2018 marked a new milestone in the journey of the Vision Jet, with\nthe historic win of the Robert J. Collier Trophy from the National Aeronautic\nAssociation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last month, the company\nannounced the launch of the next generation Vision Jet\u2013 \u201cG2\u201d \u2013 with enhanced performance, comfort and safety. Evolutionary\nfeatures include increased cruise altitude, speed and range, along with a\nnewly-upgraded Perspective Touch+<sup>TM<\/sup> by Garmin\u00ae flight deck. Innovative technologies\nunique to G2 include a category-first Autothrottle, Flight Stream connectivity\nand more. Amenities were also added to the passenger experience, including new\nexecutive seats, thoughtfully-engineered noise reduction and a passenger\nproductivity console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As production of the Vision\nJet continues to accelerate, the company will also see the expansion into\nsignificant new markets in 2019, with deliveries to customers in Brazil, South\nAfrica and Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cirrus Services Established to Enhance Lifetime Aircraft\nOwnership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The launch of Cirrus Services\nin 2018 signified another milestone in Cirrus Aircraft\u2019s ongoing plans to\nredefine the personal aviation ownership experience by providing world-class\ncustomer service for life. Cirrus Services recognizes the customer\u2019s needs before,\nduring and after initial aircraft delivery by combining Flight Training,\nService and Support into a single, dedicated business unit. The newly formed\ngroup is focused on growing capabilities and offerings at the company\u2019s\nexpanding Vision Center Campus in Knoxville, Tennessee, as well as through a\nnetwork of authorized service and training partners across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Facilities and Economic Impact Expands Across All\nThree Locations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cirrus Aircraft facilities\nand employment expanded again in 2018 at all three company locations, with\ngrowth at the company\u2019s Vision Center Campus in Knoxville, Tennessee continuing\nahead of schedule. As the company\u2019s global customer experience center, the\nVision Center Campus now includes a state-of-the-art Flight Training center\nwhich features world-class FAA-approved \u2018part 142\u2019 type rating training for the\nVision Jet and a custom Level D full-motion simulator. The new building opened\nin July 2018 and Cirrus has currently issued nearly 200 Vision Jet type\nratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company also broke ground\non a new Factory Service Center at its Vision Center Campus in 2018. The increased\nservice center capacity adds an additional 17,500 square feet. The new Factory\nService Center is scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2019.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also highlighting continued growth over\nthe last year was the addition of technical, manufacturing and service\npositions across all locations, as well as the expansion of the facility in\nGrand Forks, North Dakota by nearly 30,000 square feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cirrus Aanpak<sup>TM<\/sup> Continues Innovation and\nLeadership in Pilot Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recognized in 2016 as the\nfirst recipient of the Joseph T. Nall Safety Award from the <em>Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association\n(AOPA)<\/em>, Cirrus Aircraft continues to transform pilot training and safety\nwith Cirrus Approach. As a comprehensive program, Cirrus Approach provides\nongoing training to new and experienced pilots with their lifestyle in mind\nthrough award-winning in-person and online training courses. Over the last\nyear, the company has continued to innovate in pilot training, with the launch\nof the redesigned cirrusapproach.com and the addition of <em>Flight Fix<\/em> \u2013 a unique monthly video podcast to further support its\nmission of \u201ctraining as a lifestyle\u201d. Nearly 16,000 pilots and owners have\njoined the program as of early 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cirrus Embark<sup>TM<\/sup> \u2013\nthe company\u2019s program designed for new owners of pre-owned Cirrus aircraft \u2013\nalso continues to expand, exceeding 700 training events since its launch in\n2017. This revolutionary program provides Cirrus-specific, standardized\ndifferences and transition training for a licensed pilot who purchased a\npre-owned Cirrus Aircraft. Included in the program is access to the Cirrus\nApproach Learning Portal, a copy of the Cirrus FOM and aircraft POH, access to\nthe iFOM and one-on-one Cirrus Transition Training with an authorized Cirrus\ntraining provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fleet and Special Mission Expands Around the Globe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professional\nflight training organizations continue to grow their fleets with the\ntechnologically advanced, industry-leading SR Series aircraft as they prepare\nthe next generation of airline pilots. This year, Japan Civil Aviation College\nadded an additional 20 SR22 aircraft to their existing fleet. And just last\nmonth, Oklahoma State University announced the addition of SR20 to its Aviation\nProgram fleet. Other world-renowned flight training academies using Cirrus\naircraft include Emirates, Lufthansa, Southern Utah University and Vincennes\nUniversity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\naddition, Cirrus Perception\u2122 \u2013 the company\u2019s sensor-capable special mission\naircraft \u2013 continues to enhance law enforcement search and rescue efforts.\nIdeal for a broad range of missions, the Minnesota State Patrol uses the Cirrus\nPerception aircraft, including during the big game hosted in Minneapolis in\n2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More Red Bull Air Race Championships on the Horizon for\nCirrus-Sponsored Team 99<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the sixth consecutive year, Cirrus Aircraft\nwill have an international presence in the Red Bull Air Race World\nChampionships as a sponsor of Team 99 and U.S. Master Class Pilot, Mike\nGoulian. In 2018, Goulian set a record pace with an epic year of podium finishes,\nincluding 1<sup>st<\/sup> place in Abu Dhabi and Indianapolis and a 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\nplace overall finish in 2018 world championship series. Goulian, a Cirrus Aircraft\nAmbassador, owner and pilot, joined Red Bull Air Race in 2006, claiming his\nfirst victory in Budapest in 2009.
