Though, it wasn\u2019t until 2007 that she decided to make her dreams a reality. Dr. Cindy Weber was paging through a flying magazine when she spotted a Cirrus Aircraft advertisement. Something struck her and she decided right then and there she would learn to fly; she would, \u201clearn how to fly <em>that <\/em>airplane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If the dream of becoming a pilot wasn\u2019t a good enough reason, she was ready with another one even better. \u201cI just had to learn how to fly after my daughter started college, so I could fly our family to her triathlon competitions all over the country,\u201d explained Cindy, and there was only one thing she needed to know when making her decision to buy a Cirrus. \u201cWhen I went and looked at a Cirrus, I said, \u2018If my daughter\u2019s bike fits, I\u2019ll take it!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cindy began the pursuit of her pilot\u2019s license and aircraft ownership in 2009 and within one year, she was instrument rated and a fractional owner of a Cirrus SR22. In 2014, she became the sole owner of an exquisite Corso red SR22T. <em>Air Cindy,<\/em> as Cindy has loving dubbed her plane, was tailored specifically to her and she worked with the Cirrus Custom Design Team to make sure every detail was accounted for; custom seats, decals and even shirts with her very own Air Cindy logo. \u201cI love my plane from top to bottom, and I love flying it EVERYWHERE!\u201d Name a state, any state (besides Hawaii), and Cindy has been there. \u201cI\u2019m an adrenaline junkie! Flying has become such a passion of mine. I love the feeling of it, and I also like the challenge that comes with it. It\u2019s made me step out of my comfort zone, and I like things that make me do that,\u201d Cindy explained.<\/p>\n<p>Cindy flies whenever she can to keep her skills sharp \u2013 and have a little fun. There\u2019s nothing she can\u2019t do and nowhere she can\u2019t go in her Cirrus. Air Cindy\u2019s favorite destination is the Grand Canyon. \u201cMore than half the fun of owning an aircraft is going on trips and tours. My husband and I fly just about anywhere that would be incredible to view from the plane.\u201d Of course, Cindy revels at the freedom and fun her Cirrus gives her, safety is still very important to her. \u201cI wanted to fly the plane with the parachute. It\u2019s the biggest advantage to owning a Cirrus. CAPS puts my passengers and me at a higher level of security,\u201d remarked Cindy.<\/p>\n<p>With such enthusiasm for flying, Cindy feels it\u2019s her duty to share aviation with others. \u201cI LOVE introducing people to general aviation. I try to get as many people as possible in the air for a ride \u2013 even friends who were afraid of flying. Needless to say they aren\u2019t afraid anymore.\u201d Cindy also frequently flies her husband to many of his business meetings, and it has been very helpful to have the ability to fly into smaller general aviation airports. \u201cEverybody wants to fly in <em>Air Cindy<\/em>. They always want to know when I\u2019m available and my passengers love flying in the Cirrus. I love that \u2013 blowing away people\u2019s expectations.
