As he and his family became more familiar with the aviation world, one priority stood out above all: safety. That\u2019s when Cirrus came into the picture.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy mom didn\u2019t want to put me in anything but a Cirrus,\u201d Blaze recalls. \u201cI feel very fortunate that my family was in the position to get an SR22 Turbo. I was 17 when I stepped into that aircraft.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SR22T became a pivotal part of Blaze\u2019s training\u2014a combination of performance, technology, and the confidence that comes with flying an aircraft equipped with the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System\u00ae (CAPS\u00ae). While the journey to higher-performance aircraft often comes with challenges\u2014especially in terms of insurance requirements\u2014he worked his way up strategically, accumulating experience in both the SR22T and a Diamond before stepping into the Vision Jet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;People don\u2019t realize how big insurance is when moving to the next step,&#8221; he explains. &#8220;You really have to work your way up. I had a lot of Garmin time, but not a lot of retractable gear time, so we had to make sure I was ready for the transition.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-cirrus-life-nbsp\">\u5377\u4e91\u751f\u6d3b&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked what \u201cThe Cirrus Life\u201d means to him, Blaze\u2019s response is immediate: it\u2019s about the people.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Cirrus hires so well, and the people who fly Cirrus aircraft are just different. You step into the Knoxville Training Center, and it\u2019s like, \u2018Oh my goodness, this is so cool\u2014I just want to be a part of it.\u2019 The community of Cirrus owners and pilots is unlike any other, built on a foundation of innovation, passion, and camaraderie.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus isn\u2019t just about the aircraft\u2014it\u2019s about the experience. From the first flight lesson to earning a type rating, every step in the journey is supported by a world-class network of instructors, mentors, and fellow pilots who share a common passion for flight. Whether for personal trips or mission-driven travel, the aircraft has become an indispensable part of their lifestyle. With the convenience and performance of the Vision Jet, they can maximize every journey, whether staying close to home in Sacramento or venturing beyond.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8220;I\u2019m the only one who flies it for my family, so I get to use it a lot,&#8221; he says with a smile. &#8220;It\u2019s a privilege to fly an aircraft like this.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of Blaze\u2019s most unforgettable experiences? Crossing the Atlantic in the Vision Jet.&nbsp;&#8220;We started in Knoxville, Tennessee, and ended up in Sweden,&#8221; he shares. &#8220;We went through Canada, Greenland, Iceland, and Norway. Obviously, you\u2019re over a large body of water for quite a while, but with the turbine on our back and the parachute, I felt very safe. I wouldn\u2019t have done it in another plane.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transatlantic journey showcased the Vision Jet\u2019s impressive capabilities. From its efficiency in fuel burn to its intuitive avionics, the aircraft proved itself in demanding conditions. The ice, the remoteness\u2014it was like something out of a movie. But at the same time, I was completely at ease in the Vision Jet.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not every memorable flight takes place over oceans\u2014some have a more profound emotional impact closer to home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last July, while in Arizona with his family, Blaze received an urgent request: a cleft-palate puppy needed a flight to Sacramento for a life-saving procedure.&nbsp;\u201cI said absolutely,\u201d Blaze recalls. \u201cMy girlfriend and I picked up the puppy, and my dad and I flew it safely back. Most cleft puppies are put down, but this one had a chance thanks to aviation.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/cirrusaircraft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img-4387-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Girl carrying a box with a puppy\" class=\"wp-image-69007\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cirrusaircraft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img-4387-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cirrusaircraft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img-4387-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/cirrusaircraft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img-4387-9x12.jpg 9w, https:\/\/cirrusaircraft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img-4387-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last October, Blaze combined his two worlds \u2014 aviation and athletics. As a professional waterskier, he flew his family to San Marcos, Texas, for the 2024 Collegiate Waterski Nationals representing ASU.&nbsp;\u201cIt was a beautiful flight into the regional airport,\u201d he says. \u201cAnother pilot recognized the tail number and offered me a hangar spot\u2014such a small world.\u201d Blaze ended that week with his first collegiate title and flew home to Arizona with a gold medal in hand and an even deeper appreciation for the reach of the aviation community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-beyond-the-flight-deck-nbsp\">Beyond the Flight Deck&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Aviation isn\u2019t just about flying\u2014it\u2019s about the doors it opens. For Blaze, aviation has allowed him to connect with an incredible network of people, travel in ways he never imagined, and continuously push himself to new heights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It always feels like a party with Cirrus,&#8221; he says about attending Cirrus events. &#8220;The people are amazing, the food is incredible, and I\u2019ve already learned so much. It\u2019s just fun. So many familiar faces, and I\u2019m only 21. I\u2019m just getting into this all, but it feels like home. But for him, this is just the beginning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-looking-ahead-nbsp\">Looking Ahead&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Blaze\u2019s journey is just beginning. As he continues to refine his skills and gain experience, he has his sights set on bigger and bolder aviation goals. Whether it\u2019s flying new routes, mentoring aspiring pilots, or exploring the many career opportunities aviation offers, he knows that with Cirrus, the sky is truly the limit.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His advice to aspiring aviators?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I definitely encourage everyone to get into aviation. Whether as a pilot or in another aspect of flying, I truly think it\u2019s all about the people you know. The aviation community is unlike anything else.
