Duluth, Minn. (6 March 2015) – Cirrus Aircraft today announced that their Factory Service Center in Duluth, Minnesota has been honored with the prestigious Diamond Award of Excellence by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Training. The Diamond Award is the highest acknowledgment presented to aviation companies and maintenance specialists, recognizing Cirrus’ superior performance in maintenance and training.

The FAA created the AMT Awards Program in 1991 in order to generate an incentive for aviation maintenance technicians to continually participate in training programs and to exceed standard regulations.
The Diamond Award is the fifth and most distinguished award of this program, making it highly sought after by aviation companies alike. Each successive award involves more demanding requirements, validating the prestige of each of its ranks. With annual participation encouraged to all members, this award program has become highly renowned and emphasizes the professionalism within the industry.
