Flight Training Network

Cirrus Aircraft’s worldwide network of flight training professionals are experts in Cirrus flight training. We work only with exceptional people and organizations to continue our unprecedented training outreach. Our global network of Cirrus Training Centers (CTCs) and Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots (CSIPs) will get you flying in a Cirrus aircraft quickly, efficiently, and safely.

CTCs and CSIPs have been personally trained and evaluated by the training specialists at Cirrus headquarters and follow the same training programs that Cirrus uses during factory flight instruction. All are held to the same high standards of excellence that Cirrus uses for flight training. Whether you are a seasoned pilot looking to expand your flying experiences in a new Cirrus aircraft or someone who dreams of learning to fly in a new, technically advanced aircraft, our network of Training Partners will tailor your flight instruction for a fantastic and exciting experience.

At Cirrus Aircraft, we understand that our owners expect knowledgeable, highly trained professionals, full-service maintenance and training facilities, and an array of amenities when they bring their aircraft in for service or seek flight training. We are committed to providing our owners with a network of the best maintenance and training facilities in the business.

Revolutionary training facilities

Cirrus’ global network of Cirrus Training Centers (CTCs) is composed of elite flight schools that specialize in Cirrus flight training and offer Cirrus rental. Many provide other services such as aircraft management, charter and professional pilot services. Each CTC employs professional flight instructors that have been personally trained and evaluated by the specialists at Cirrus Aircraft Headquarters. The aircraft at CTC all feature the new and advanced glass cockpits by either Garmin or Avidyne, advanced safety and aerodynamic features and, of course, the Cirrus Aircraft Parachute System (CAPS™).

Cirrus Training Centers use revolutionary training material developed by Cirrus Aircraft which will make your flying experience efficient, safe, and most importantly, enjoyable.

Our scenario-based flight courses will do much more than prepare you to fly in the local airport area; the flight instructors at our Cirrus Training Centers will prepare you to safely operate your Cirrus in a wide variety of conditions and situations, giving you the maximum utility from the airplane.

By choosing to fly with a Cirrus Training Center, you are receiving the support and encouragement of one of the strongest and most popular aircraft companies in the world. When you walk into a Cirrus Training Center, you will immediately sense the values and principles of Cirrus Aircraft emanating from our Cirrus Training Center Network.

Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots

Cirrus’s global network of Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots (CSIPs) is composed of experienced Instrument Flight Instructors (CFII’s) that have been specially trained by the specialists at Cirrus Aircraft headquarters. These professional flight instructors have undergone extensive ground and flight training in Cirrus aircraft to distinguish themselves as an expert in Cirrus flight training. All CSIPs use standardized flight operations manuals, syllabus suites, and procedures to ensure that your flight training is consistent with other Cirrus pilots’ training and with that of the factory training at Cirrus Headquarters.

CSIPs can accommodate almost any flight training request or requirement and are the preferred training providers by leading insurance underwriters. Cirrus Aircraft strongly recommends that all initial and recurrent Cirrus training be conducted by a CSIP, a CTC, or with a factory instructor from Cirrus Headquarters. Schedule your next flight with a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot near you.

Apply to be a CSIP

Initial CSIP Training

CSIP training is a comprehensive course and requires dedicated pre-training on your part to be prepared for the intensive flight training segment. Flight training occurs only with a Cirrus headquarters professional flight instructor with emphasis on developing your ability to fly and teach in a standardized fashion using Cirrus’ proven syllabi. Closely mirroring the style of the customer Transition Training program, CSIP training goes one big step further as you will be required to demonstrate an instructor level of knowledge. By the end of the course, you will be expected to teach the last few lessons.

For most flight instructors, CSIP training is scheduled to occur over the course of 5 days with a mix of ground and flight lessons. The price is approximately $8000 which includes 5 days of flight instruction, 1 hour in our FTD, and a training kit. Travel and accommodations are not included in this estimate. Since the course is completely proficiency based, the course may be longer or shorter depending on experience and aptitude. Cirrus requires that all CSIP applicants have sufficient knowledge of systems and operations before on-site training can take place. Failure to properly prepare for CSIP training will increase your overall training time and expense.

CSIP Renewal

To retain status as an active and current CSIP, you must renew your status annually. To renew status, each CSIP must earn at least 10 credits during the past year of activity. Credits can be earned for overall experience, qualifications and ratings, flight activity, event attendance, and membership in professional organizations.

The CSIP Renewal Application can be found on the Cirrus Learning Portal and you will be reminded of your renewal two months prior to your expiration. All CSIPs must successfully complete online modules and quizzes as part of the renewal process.
