ESP is an innovative new technology that addresses both prevention and recovery. ESP passively and unobtrusively corrects unusual flight attitude, assisting without distracting from the flying quality or enjoyment of the flight experience.
Synthetic Vision Technology
Bring the outside in with a three-dimensional representation of the world displayed on your PFD. Know exactly where the terrain is and how it affects your flight path at a glance.
Always know who else is around you with active traffic information. Always know where to look when you get that traffic advisory from ATC or your onboard equipment. Pair up traffic maps (two-dimensional view) with SVT (three-dimensional view) and you will have that extra guidance before other aircraft potentially become a concern.
FLIGHT PATH MARKER AND HIGHWAY IN THE SKY
Know at a glance that you are always on course and at altitude. The green flight path marker will tell you where the aircraft is going with consideration of crosswinds and the magenta rectangular pathways will guide you with increased precision en route or on approach.
Fly over varying topography with assurance as the terrain feature in SVT gives you an extra level of awareness. Terrain that potentially conflicts with your flight path is highlighted on the PFD allowing you to make the necessary decisions to ensure a safe and successful flight.
SMART ENGINE MONITORING
Relax knowing there is another set of eyes watching your engine indications. Cirrus Perspective is closely integrated with the aircraft engine; it continuously monitors and gets your attention when something is not quite right through its annunciation system.
HYPOXIA CHECK AND AUTOMATED DESCENT MODE
Never before have avionics integrated your well-being. If key strokes haven’t been made for a certain time dependent on altitude the avionics will ask, “Are you alert?”. If there is no acknowledgement after a few different messages the aircraft will automatically descend to a lower altitude.
Always be alert during low altitude operations such as takeoff, landing and approach. Obstacles will be clearly displayed on the PFD in three dimensions with cautions and warnings provided regardless of in-flight visibility.
SMART FUEL TRACKING & LEANING
Fly with comfort, always knowing how much fuel is left in your Cirrus. Also, leaning the turbocharged aircraft is simple. After cruise power is maintained, just pull the mixture back to the blue line and enjoy the flight.
Known Ice Integration
Flying through known icing conditions means needing all information necessary to make informed decisions. Cirrus Perspective is closely integrated with the known ice protection system giving you the information you need such as: 1) Duration and Range with the TKS fluid remaining; 2) Icing forecasts and freezing levels with XM weather; 3) System monitoring that will give you needed information from low fluid quantity to inadequate flow rates to individual panels clearly displayed on the PFD.
Get another look at the terrain around you with the profile view on your Multi-Function Display (MFD). Feel comfortable that the altitude selected will be adequate for oncoming terrain. With XM weather enjoy a different look at the winds aloft ensuring that the altitude selected will get you to your destination the quickest.
Never before have you had such comprehensive weather at your fingertips. Through satellite weather services you can get numerous weather products on the MFD: radar, satellite, METARs, TAFs, freezing levels and winds aloft, just to name a few.
ENHANCED VISION SYSTEM (EVS)
Know what is outside the aircraft, even in the dark of night. Using fusion technology that combines both visible and infrared light, EVS outlines terrain features, landmarks, cloud buildups – even ground objects such as parked aircraft, animals or personnel – on the MFD.
ALTITUDE INTERCEPT ARC
Always know where you will reach your desired altitude. The cyan bar clearly labels on the MFD moving map where you desired altitude will be reached so you can adjust your descent or climb accordingly.
Make an unknown airport more familiar with the airport directory integrated in the MFD. Get the information you need about services available at an airport before landing and make that unplanned stop more enjoyable.

- How far you are from the destination
- How long it will take to get there
- How much fuel will be remaining on arrival.
This information is always shown, regardless of screen selection or what your next waypoint is.
Go through your checklists with a press of a button. Integrated into your MFD, the electronic checklists are customized for your aircraft model giving you all normal, abnormal and emergency checklists.
Your approach plates, departure procedures and arrival procedures are all at your fingertips electronically on your MFD. No more flipping through binders of paper charts, just pick your airport and chart needed and its displayed on your MFD.

AUTOPILOT CONTROLS – CLOSE TO HAND
Changing headings and altitudes during flight has never been easier. These heavily used controls fall close to hand. No need to reach up to the displays to change some of the most used controls.
With a well-positioned, full keyboard, inputs are greatly reduced for communication, radio tuning, flight plans, MFD navigation and transponder, giving you more time to focus outside the aircraft. Always at your fingertips, the clever layout coupled with constantly improving user interface software (provided), allows for an intuitive interaction with the avionics to simplify your flying experience.
GFC700 AUTOPILOT & DUAL AHRS
The GFC700 digital autopilot directs integrated smart digital servos to give the ultimate hands-off flying experience. Coupled with dual AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System) the second layer of protection will not allow a single failure of any component to disable the PFD and autopilot at the same time.
Practically eliminates the need for the rudder in extended climbs and turns. The yaw damper also gives a smoother ride for everyone on board as the annoying bumps are reduced.
BLUE LEVEL BUTTON
An active safety feature that gives you a time out if momentarily distracted or disorientated. One push of the Blue Lvl Button will tell the autopilot to bring the aircraft to straight and level flight giving you valuable time to think before deciding the next safe flying steps.
AUTOPILOT STALL PROTECTION
Fly in confidence knowing that the autopilot will not stall the aircraft when engaged. The digital GFC700 autopilot is closely integrated into the aircraft which it knows when you are approaching the stall and will adjust your vertical rate accordingly to keep the aircraft from the stall.
AUTOPILOT COUPLED GO-AROUND
Autopilot coupled go-around makes the missed approach, one of the most demanding phases of flight, easier. The autopilot remains connected and the aircraft automatically pitches up to a normal climb attitude and the missed approach segment is automatically activated. All you have to do is monitor and apply power as necessary.
