October 11, 2021

Duluth, MN & Knoxville, TN (11 October 2021) — Cirrus Aircraft, the leading aircraft manufacturer of the best-selling SR Series and Vision Jet, proudly announced it will showcase its latest innovation, the G2+ Vision Jet®, at NBAA-BACE 2021 booth #773 in the LVCC and at the static display exhibit #A303 from October 12-14.

Featuring optimized engine performance for expanded mission capabilities, Gogo® InFlight WiFi for a connected cabin experience, and striking new color configurations for added ramp presence, the G2+ Vision Jet comprehensively meets mission demands for corporate owners, charter operators and special missions. The G2+ Vision Jet has earned both FAA and EASA certification.

“The G2+ Vision Jet is a testament to our continual pursuit to transform the personal aviation industry,” said Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus Aircraft. “According to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s recent report, we are one of the leading aircraft manufacturers in the United States and we are honored to deliver the ultramodern G2+ Vision Jet for business owners, operators and special missions.”

Advanced Capability and Configuration
The G2+ Vision Jet offers more mission capabilities with greater weight and range capacity out of certain airports and improved climb gradient to get to altitudes faster. Performance modifications to the Williams International FJ33-5A engine provides customers with a 20% improvement in takeoff performance in high density altitude (hot and high) conditions.

Customers now have access to more airports in a wider range of weather conditions including 4,000 ft. runway airports such as Aspen, CO during the summertime.

WiFi connectivity grants access to emails, text messaging, web-browsing and applications while in-flight throughout the United States and Canada through Gogo InFlight Service. The award-winning Cirrus Airframe Parachute System® (CAPS®), Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland and the Perspective Touch+™ by Garmin® flight deck offers a comprehensive safety package.

Offering on-demand charter service, Verijet has begun to build their fleet of SF50 Vision Jets due to their flexible mission capabilities, unparalleled safety, transformative cabin and comfortable lifestyle features.

“The SF50 Vision Jet powers Verijet, allowing us to be the safest, most efficient airline on and for the planet,” said Richard Kane, Chairman and CEO of Verijet. “With the Vision Jet and our powerful AI capabilities, Verijet triples the speed and efficiency of short-haul in perfect safety and with reduced carbon and noise pollution.”

Additionally, the G2+ Vision Jet Smart Lift™ for corporate flight departments provides the optimal supplemental lift solution for flight crew repositioning and company members to and from destinations safely and efficiently. The G2+ Vision Jet adds regional flexibility for 200-1,000 NM missions, while also offering maximum cost efficiency. Multiple cabin configurations include executive seating for two passengers, family seating for five and no seat option for hauling larger items.

Joel Pierce, General Manager and Flight Instructor of Sweetwater said, “Being single-engine, single-pilot and a fairly simple aircraft to operate, I can tell you that I get emails and or phone calls from some of the top people at Sweetwater asking me about a potential trip in the Vision Jet. I think they’re always a little bit impressed and excited when I tell them what our actual cost – our variable direct cost – would be to take that trip.”

Vision Jet Community and Training
In 2017, Cirrus Aircraft launched a community called Vision Pilots and Owners (VPO) in an effort to equip and support owners of the Vision Jet. The VPO program allows owners to interact directly with Cirrus through a private website, attend exclusive events and access owner resources. Owners immediately gain access to VPO once the Vision Jet order is set.

Type-Rating training is provided exclusively by Cirrus Aircraft through the company’s Cirrus Approach program leveraging a full-motion Level-D simulator at the Vision Center in Knoxville, TN and expert Vision Jet Instructor Pilots.

The Vision Jet is certified in over 40 countries, with more foreign approvals being prioritized based on customer location.

“We continue to excel in the single-pilot jet market with over 47 SF50 jets delivered to customers in Q3 2021,” said Matt Bergwall, Director, Vision Jet Product Line of Cirrus Aircraft. “Our Vision Jet sales are on the rise as customers realize the incredible value-add of owning or operating a Personal Jet. There are currently over 290 Vision Jets in service and we are expecting over 80 Vision Jets to be delivered by the end of this year.”

Vision Jet Accolades
The Vision Jet was awarded the 2017 Robert J. Collier Trophy, the most prestigious award in aviation, for developing the world’s first single-engine Personal Jet and implementing the CAPS on the aircraft.

In 2020, Garmin won the Robert J. Collier Trophy for their Autoland system, known as Safe Return on the Vision Jet. As a result, the Vision Jet has two technologies – CAPS and Safe Return – which have won the Collier Trophy, a rare occurrence in the history of aviation.

History
Announced in July 2021, the G2+ Vision Jet is the predecessor of G2 Vision Jet which was introduced in January 2019 enhancing performance, comfort and safety for the world’s first single-engine Personal Jet. The first Vision Jet was delivered in December 2016.
